Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We saw the waterfall from our cruise ship whilst sailing in the fjord. We stopped to look at it for a while and were told its legend. Apparently seven sisters dance down the side of the fjord whilst on the opposite side an admirer flirts with them. The waterfall is alright but I have seen more impressive.

We had the ferry and therefore we sailed across the fjord beyond. Nice waterfall, but the waterfall on the other side is actually nicer. Anyway, with all the stories around it, it's a wonderful thing. Beautiful nature, nice and fresh and windy. I wouldn't go there especially, there are really so many beautiful waterfalls to see in Norway.

We visited the Seven Sisters in June and the snow melt made them really beautiful...the seven streams of water cascade down the cliff face for a breathtaking view. We took a high-speed rib boat to see them up close and it was well worth the money. The boat also took us to The Suitor, the falls just across the fjord and we got great photos.
I absolutely loved this part of Western Norway! Don't miss these falls when visiting. The Geirangerfjord winds inland about ten miles with cliff faces on both sides of the 1600 foot wide channel. Peaks up to 6000 feet are high above and the depth of the water is about 1200 feet deep. One of nature's marvels...enjoy!

This is one of the nicest representations of water that you can find sailing throughout the fjords. This area with it's natural beauty is awesome then add the water element.

Fabulous trip. Started in Bergen and ended 2 weeks later in London.
At Geirangerfjord we (we being my 2 adult sons, 1 daughter-in-law, my husband n myself) took the local ferry that dropped us off across from the Seven Vails Falls so we could hike up the mountain (across from Seven Vails) and back down to Geiranger. What n experience. It also takes longer than u think. I don't know how people did it in 5 hours. It rained of the way down to Geiranger so became very slippery, but it was a wonderful hike! The ferry dropped us off around 9am and we made the 4:30 shuttle to the ship.
The Viking Sky was wonderful, from the excellent food to the trip itinerary. With only 920 passengers, everyone has a balcony, free self-serve laundry on each deck, the 'snow grotto', inside and outside pools, outside one is n infinity pool. I will stop, just check their ocean cruisers out, they r great. We've been on all three.
Norway is stunning.

There are beautiful and diverse waterfalls along the Geirangerfjord, no doubt the most interesting is the Seven Sisters waterfalls. Seen from a distance the waterfalls can resemble the hair of seven women, the reason it have been called The Seven Sisters.
On the opposite side of the fjord you can see The Suitor, a waterfall shaped like a bottle.
The best way to see The Seven Sisters is by boat. We have taken the ferry boat from Fjords 1 from Geiranger to Hellesylt and have crossed the Geirangerfjord. The crossing is only 1h30min and more like a cruise. The captain drew our attention to the main high waterfalls and for the abandoned fruit farms and goats farms at the bases of the fjord; he told us the story of each one of them.
I have specially liked the Legend of how The Suitor proposed to The Seven Sisters several times and was continuously refused. The Seven Sisters are still unmarried, whilst The Suitor turned to the bottle.
The best time to visit is in the early summer months when the snow is melting.

We decided to take advantage of the boat tours available, and I am so glad we did, this was a fantastic evening up close and personal trip, and I would recommend it. The guide was informative and I am so glad we did this trip, as I was not sure and my partner said we would regret it if we didn't ,so glad we did.

If you come by cruise ship you will sail right past. If not take the sight seeing tour or or the regular Geiranger to Hellestyl ferry to see it.

One of the most iconic Norwegian waterfalls. Best seen from a fjord cruise. Most water in may-june. You can also see if from the hike to Skageflå

Buongiorno! Sto valutando d fare una crociera ai fiordi. Vorrei avere informazioni sulle escursioni e i costi
Written 7 October 2018
Io l'ho fatta in agosto e per le escursioni questo è il più economico che ho trovato (con servizio e serietà adeguati si intende).
Ho visto che anche molti del sito Crocieristi si sono affidati a loro.

We will be taking this Viking cruise at the end of this month. Any recommendations on what type of clothing to bring on this trip. Our precruise tour starts in Oslo, taking scenic train to Bergen, then get on the ship. Based on what I have read it seems temps could vary from 80 degrees F to 30 degrees F on this itinerary. Would be interested in your comments. Thank you!!

How do you pay for the ferry. We have USA dollars and credit cards. Will we need to change money? We'll be there on May 18 th , this week 2017. Thank you!
Written 15 May 2017
Norway likes you to pay by credit card for most aspects. The tour companies can be approached directly and the local tour offices are very helpful. You only need the Krone for simple drinks. Norway is expensive.

Bruisomg m pn the Celebrity line. How do we get to th falls?
Written 2 August 2016
If you are on a cruise, you will see the fall when you go inside the Geiranger fjord. But if you want to come to the fall and the farm on the Knifsflå side or Skageflå side(other side) you have to hier a local boat to take you to the bottom. You walk up and the boat can come and bring you again at the time you arrange. Really nice walk....would recomend thr Skageflå one, since amazing view to the Seven Sisters waterfall and the farm Knifsflå.
