About
Ravagni since 1421 is a family business which is mentioned for the first time in 1421 at the Florence Archivies and it's included since 1980 in the list of Italian firms. It's pduction oil, wine, vinegar, seasoned oils, soaps, oil based creams and others particular products are handmade and following their season potentiality. The products are not only sold worldwide, but are used by the family itself, family which moved in this area already since the end of the 12th century. We tried and are still trying to keep the working methods as traditional as possible even if many times quality certifications laws and health laws try to bring you to the omologations of perfumes and tastes relatively to the products you normally find in the commerce.Certainly our products are not the best of the Italy but they surely are simple and true. The Proffesor Giacomo Bartolomeiof Ravagni also prints and edits local and Italian history books and not only this.We have real but also virtual shops but we prefer to invite famalies, school and people coming from all over the world in order that they can see, smell and work if they want...

Wonderful hospitality, A memorable afternoon
Sep 2021
Francesco gave us a brief tour and introduction to the "frantoio" (olive oil 'factory') which has been in his family since 1412 and an introduction to the oil extracting process. We were then led up the hill to his family home for a late-summer lunch of fresh pasta and produce from the garden, generous pours of house-made wine and grappa and plenty of opportunity to taste all manners of flavored olive oils and vinegars. After lunch there was time to have a wander around the property, admire the breathtaking views and purchase wine, oils, soaps and body products.

Francesco is a wonderful host- welcoming, animated, passionate about his work and happy to open his home and share his knowledge. I only wish we had visited in November to witness the olive harvest!

Was had the most amazing afternoon with our family at Francesco‘s home with amazing views. The drive itself is an experience but the hospitality we experienced with Francesco was exceptional! Thank you so much, we will definitely come again and are looking forward what the future holds for our two businesses! Definitely a must to meet Francesco when you are in the area 🍷

We had an amazing time with Francesco and his family. Great food, wine and company. An experience of the real Tuscany. Pure simplicity. Definitely a place to come back to and continue the great talks with our new friends. Thank you Francesco, Olivia and Victorio.

The best afternoon you will spend in Tuscany
Sep 2019
My family of 6 plus our future daughter-in-law had just arrived in Tuscany and were staying in a old renovated villa. We called, and talked to Francesco, who said yes come at 1:00 and we will have a tour and a light lunch.
So we went and met Francesco at his building where the olives were ground and the oil pressed. Very basic and but interesting. When we got there we all felt like we were some Italian movie. Beautful grounds, gardens and he had this long table all set for lunch.
We started out with tasting many different types of olive oil which were all excellent. Then we had antipasta, salad and big bowl of pasta. again everything was so good. More wine and then more courses like fried sage leaves, orange slices with his 20 year old balsamic vinegar, the main course and then cookies and fruit. Also more of their wine which also excellent. Some "lite lunch" and then I asked Francesco if he had Grappa, a big smile came on his face and he brought out his Grappa. I have had several Grappas in Italy but this was the smoothest and best quality I've had.
Did I mention that his father gave my wife, two daugters, and daughter-in-law fresh cut roses, and he gave me two lithographs from his library. they have library with books from the 15th century. also they have many other products based on olive oil. Needless to say it truly was a great experience , I have only shared a few of the highlights from our visit.

I recommend to all if you are near Ravagni please visit.

Very nice experience!
Jul 2020 • Friends
We wanted to do an olive oil or wine tasting and found Ravagni on this app. We arrived at Francesco's Ravagni since 1421 and started our mini tour to see the machines and mill where the olive oil is made. We need to come back in november (not the season now) to see the machines working. After the tour we had a nice lunch and a tasting of all his different kinds of olive oil flavours. We had an amazing day and we had an interesting talk with Francesco and could ask him all the questions we had. Really recommand this place !

Franceso!!
May 2019
My wife and I have many cousins still living in Italy, when we visit them, they are so incredibly kind, welcoming, lovely, funny and happy. Francesco feels as if he was another visit with family!! He is so passionate about his continued old-ways-technique of crushing olives and making pure, delicious olive oil. He showed us the production operation, then had us sit out on a porch area and fed us a great meal. We stayed here at least 4 hours. His oil (of all types of flavors) is fantastic, the vinegar, the wine, the truffle paste... everything homemade! What pride!! I love this man, I want to be this guy! He treated my family with love and continues to stay in touch through social media. We bought 8 one liter cans of olive oil to be shipped, it did take six months for the oil to get here, but Francesco came through!! Go here for an memory making visit.

Spent an afternoon with Francesco tasting olive oil, hearing stories about his family business, lunch complete with homemade wine and grappa- one of our best experiences in Tuscany. Definitely plan a visit if you are in this amazing, lovely part of Italy.
