Salute!
Sep 2020 • Couples
We had an amazing time with Gio and Luiga at his home in Ostuni. We made orecchiette, braciole, parmagiana di melanzane, stuffed courgette flowers and tiramisu! The food was amazing, wine free flowing and they welcomed us into the home like we were family. Would definitely recommend this cooking course as a way to spend half a day whilst in Puglia!

Highlight of my Holiday!!
Oct 2019 • Friends
Had such an incredible time learning to cook some italian dishes with my mum here, including making pasta by hand! Gio, Francesca and Angela were the perfect hosts and teachers. It was a very fun (and very informative) night of delicious food, amazing wine, and incredible company - couldn’t have asked for a better evening! Highly recommended!!

Amazing experience. A must-do
May 2019
We traveled 8 Canadian girlfriends together through Italy and found this hidden treasure in Ostuni, Puglia. It was an amazing experience to cook with these lovely Italian women. A real authentic experience. We had loads of fun all women together and the best Italian meal ever with fresh local ingredients from their own farm!

Mille grazie Dora!
Sep 2018 • Couples
At, first I could not imagine what would expect me at this cooking course. It was a birthday present from my family and closest friends.
It already seemed great to me to learn from a real Italian, but I wouldn’t have imagined a second how authentic this course would be.

We were 2 couple, me and my boyfriend and a lovely American elderly couple who attended the course that afternoon.
We were picked up in the centre of Ostuni and brought to the private home of the Nonna, our chef.
And believe me, she is a true chef.
Such a warm welcome from the whole family and such and authentic cuisine, not a second of the afternoon seemed to be mise en scène.
Dora did not speak Italian, but this was not a problem at all.
We learned by doing and by following her lead.
The orecchiette and cavatelli we made have found their place in my daily cuisine, since they are so easy to make, and I am still dreaming of the bresaola involtini and tiramisu we had.
If you are seeking a truly authentic experience, with no extravagance but focussing on the true love for good food – you should take part in this lovely cooking course.
The day was the most authentic day of my whole vacation to the region of Puglia and I will never forget the lessons thought!

Thank you Svetlana, you comment is very kind and witty. Many cooking coureses are indeed a "mise en scène". Dora is a real person with a good heart, which is, after all, the essence of a tasty and healthy cooking :) we hope to meet you all again soon. Gio

Cooking Class with the girls
Sep 2018 • Friends
Me and my friends were in Italy on vacation and always wanted to do a cooking class. We had a blast with Dora and her family, she really made you feel at home. You are hands on the entire time, and of course the best part is eating. All the ingredients come right from her farm. Thank you Dora, Francesca, and the whole family for a wonderful time.

Engaging, friendly experience in an Italian home with A family.

My husband and I spent the day with Puglia Chef Academy on their farm outside of Ostuni. Our guide, Mary and Marlena welcomed us into their home and we had so much fun learning how to make orecchiette, eggplant parmigiana and other dishes. The roosters were crowing, the cows and dogs were in the background. We walked in the olive groves and asked a thousand questions about food, olives and wine which were all patiently answered. Warm family, great food.

Cooking With Aunt Dora
Apr 2016 • Friends
We had an amazing tour of the Ostuni area with Green Italy tours and were so impressed with the service that we decided to book an Italian Cooking Class with them for our son and his partner (A Birthday Gift). We were picked up at the Ostuni train station ant taken to Aunt Dora's farmhouse for the class. This was done in her house on the traditional Italian Farm - amazing! We made a rolled/stuffed veal dish and homemade pasta all from scratch, and were then fed an amazing assortment of Italian antipasto while we waited for the pasta and veal to be served.

As usual, the Green Italy crew were on hand to translate (Aunt Dora does not speak much English) and make sure our experience was top notch!

This was an amazing experience and a highlight of our Italian Adventure. I cannot recommend this Group enough. Green Italy and Puglia Chef Academy. Make your vacation that much more and learn to cook Italian. I think I can actually make my own Orecchiette now.

We experienced a cooking tour that went way beyond our expectations. A great time was had by all and our seven year old daughter was enjoying her time playing on the grounds of the masseria.

Great cooking tips
Jul 2014 • Couples
I took a 3 hours cooking course with my wife last week. Our chef, Maria, led us through the secrets of "eggplant parmesan" as well as "rice, potatoes and mussels" the so called "tiella" typical of Puglia. We then fried some calamari and had a memorable dinner on the terrace overlooking the Ostuni old town. Fantastic experience
