Ended up here on Halloween after a drive from Wexford town. Arrived in time for the 4pm tour of the lighthouse. Our guide Noel was fantastic and made the tour great fun but educational at the same time. It's fascinating to tour inside such an...More

Not just any lighthouse - it is the second oldest functioning lighthouse in the world (after the Tower of Hercules in Spain). It was constructed by Strongbow's son-in-law, William Marshall, Earl of Pembroke, between 1201 and 1240 so it's almost 800 years old. Even before...More

Needless to say, the lighthouse made for some spectacular scenery around the Irish Atlantic coast, but the fun & interesting tour from our friendly, welcoming guide really made the visit extra worthwhile. Well worth a trip

Arrived at 9:30, had a lovely full Irish breakfast before being taken on a tour at 10am of the lighthouse by the delightful young Maraid...who delivered an articulate and entertaining tour of this magnificent structure....800 years old and still functioning as it was first intended...More

Wonderful views, we visited on the afternoon of storm Brian and experienced crashing waves and lots of spray. It is windy and exposed but nothing a coat doesn’t solve. The staff are amazing and couldn’t be more helpful. The tour is well worth it if...More

One day before the hurricane Ophelia came to Ireland we visited this beautiful site! We had a picnic in our camper and enjoyed the sea banging to the cliffs. Sitting and relaxing, impressed by the power of nature!
