Fabulous stroll along the river
Jul 2019 • Couples
The path from the bridge to the Mutterturn is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The foliage in July is so green and the cool river’s flowing sounds combines natures’s spectacular wonders. There are plenty of benches to relax and soak in the atmosphere. Really nice if you have time in Landsberg.

Wonderful small town
Jun 2017 • Couples
We stopped here enroute to the Munich area and we were so pleased to have randomly selected Landsberg am Lech as a small town to explore.
It is so picturesque, quaint, and charming!!
We parked our rental car in a parking garage just past the main town square and you exit the garage via a walking tunnel which brings you right into the main square.
Be sure to begin your time here by visiting the tourist information office (which is in the main square in the Rathaus) to pick up a town map which has a few different suggestions for self-guided walking tours to explore the town.
The terrain around Landsberg am Lech is fairly flat and easily walkable.
There is a lovely walk along the riverside where you can get some great views of the small water fall in the river.
This town is so lovely, quaint and colourful with many picturesque buildings and areas to explore. The rectangular main square is very large and there was a great market happening in the square during our visit.
If you have the time and opportunity to visit Landsberg am Lech do so!!.....you won't be disappointed.

Romantic Road Route
Jun 2017 • Couples
On our last full day in the afternoon we travelled the Romantica Strasse or Romantic Road which is a journey thru small towns with all kinds of kitschy items to see along the way.
Lechwehr in Landsberg am Lech Bavaria Germany was a sleepy picturesque romantic looking medieval town along the route where we stopped to get an icream and walk around.
It runs alongside a river so there are lots of photo opportunities.

Beautiful little town
Feb 2016 • Couples
We stopped off here on our way back to Munich airport....so glad we stopped! What a pretty little town! Lots of highly decorated buildings and some great souvenir shops (at decent prices). Lovely waterfall in the river to sit and look at while sipping a coffee.

Beautiful town by the river
Jul 2015 • Couples
Stopped here as part of trip on Romantic Road. Lovely town to walk around and pass some time in the sunshine. The Lech Weir was lovely and you can just sit and listen to the power of the water. It also seems it is by a Air Force base as there was a lot of flying taking place.

City "Waterfall"

Before you get into the Alstadt, you will see this dam on the river. The small town is worth to visit, you can cover the old part in a day.

It was a nice place when I needed a pause in the sightseeing, looking at the "waterfall" with the Mutter turm in the background, with an ice cream in my hand.
