Worth a short visit (~1 hour). Well maintained and preserved with beautiful view of the village and the area around it. Too bad that the library is not open to the public, but the other rooms are open and show what life looked like when it was occupied.

Situated overlooking one of the nicest non-hill towns in the Luberon, you are not likely to miss it if you visit Lourmarin. Drive by it, walk to it. Inside, there are some enormous rooms with furniture, but that's all they are. Lacking in interest, or charm. I suppose the sheer size of the rooms are of some minor historical interest,... More

This refurbished chateau is a short walk from the town center of Lourmarin. For the size of the chateau, one came away wondering where the folks slept! Wonderful kitchen, great views of the valley below; lovely lily pond at the entrance. Worth the entrance fee.

A very interesting Chateau that was restored in 1921. There are about ten rooms, many of them beautifully furnished. The best part: You pay your 6.80 Euro and you are on your on. No guides to push you from one room to the next. You can actually stop and contemplate. Descriptions of most rooms are available in several languages. Not... More

Worth visiting to tour and/or buy some local wine in the cave at the base of the chateau. Also offers concerts and such from time to time.

This landmark in Lourmarin can not be missed. Learning about its history gives you a good impression of the various events that took place in this area. Art also plays an important role at present; there are often exhibits in the old castle and on the terrace, which gives you a beautiful view of the village. The classical concerts, organized... We were very pleased with our visit to the Chateau. It is situated in a beautiful setting. The gardens are very well maintained. The Chateau has been expertly restored. The self tour is very nice, with the high point being the spiral stair case. The rooms contain interesting exhibits. The views of Luberon are worth the price of admission.

The chateau is lovely, but the real gem is the free wine cellar below. Local wines, excellent selection and excellent value. Prices at or even below the vineyard prices, but all available from one place. Don't overlook the cxellar aafter you visit the chateau.

Beautifully preserved and a nice break from a bike ride. We were treated to a pianist playing in one of the grand rooms which was quite romantic!

The chateau is on the outskirts of the village of Lourmarin. On one side is a meadow and on the other, olive groves. I approached by the side of the meadow - a mistake. The bushes were full of plastic bottles, cups and rubbish which put me off somewhat. The chateau is an untidy building which is as it should... More
