In my opinion the Hintertux glacier ski area is the heaven on earth for skiers. The slopes have an incredible width and they are perfectly prepared. You can go for skiing there even in June or July. Actually I was only in March, April, October and November, but be sure - they are opened 365 days in the year. Probably the best time here is March.

Best glacier skiing in Austria and maybe in Alps. Gondolas are very fast and efficient what means not long waitings. Good place for skiing before or after main season.

Awesome place for those who love to ski and snowboard . The glacier allows all year around ski possibilities . Great views , great slopes and freestyle parks . This is a must visit location for lovers of the sport . Try jagger tea for the after ski .

3rd visit here, and of course depending on snow conditions, a great ski resort. We are there for race camp every year, and the crew is great at doing the best out of existing conditions

Of course any excursion using cable cars etc isn't going to be cheap but the Hintertux isn't too bad. I went up to the second station at the foot of the actual glacier, the round trip was €28 with the visitor card. if you like views, walking or just going up the mountains this is a god one. There isn't... More

So much to do here! We hiked and did some summer glacier skiing. A multitude of options with children and the area is just breathtaking.
