Have been to Girraween on several occasions but always in Spring. Well marked walks through granite landscape principally along river banks although little water flow at this time of year. Fine views towards The Junction. Take water if hot as quite exposed to sun.

Visiting in October, we were fortunate to enjoy the wildflowers scattered so abundantly along the tracks. The birdlife along...More

This national park is just awesome, the walk and climb up the Pyramids is breath taking least to say but be very care full as it is risky. Respect to the original inhabitants of this area left as is for us all .....

Girraween is great and I've been going there for over 30 years. It's only recently, though, that I've really started to explore. I've always enjoyed the walks east and west of the Bald Creek day use area (Junction, Pyramid, Castle Rocks etc) and Dr Roberts...More

The locals are great to have close, that's the kangaroos and birds. Could spend more time here. Great picnic areas in the day area. A must to go back.

We rent a cottage outside Stanthorpe and have no experience with camping. But I think all the campgrounds are pretty good. The Pyramids and Bald Rock also provide wonderful photo ops. We are also going back for the third... More

The hot water in the showers are set on a 3 minute timer then cut out. There is no hot water in the wash up area, just cold. Hope this helps.
