We went to this beach for the day during our stay in Luquillo. It was a Sunday so it was a lively scene: lots of local families and couples were out with music and impressive grill set ups. Felt like we were crashing a fun party! Get there early in the morning (maybe before 10) and you can probably snag... More
Good for kids but got to the kiosk for food or bring your own. 5.5$ pay parking very calm water lots of shade and coconut trees good place for a sunset the to the kiosk for dinner.
Went to the annual sea turtle festival at Luquillo. Lots of vendors selling food and tables for environmental organizations working on cleaning up and protecting natural areas around Puerto Rico. It is a locals kind of activity - but many people spoke English and there was things for the kids to do. Live music that was both English and Spanish.... More
This is the perfect beach to walk on - soft sand and flat. We visited twice in 5 days. The 2 food venues are adequate. The building available for restrooms and changing stalls/showers charge $1, which is for the whole day! Great value.

On weekdays, probably gets crowded, so if you are not one for crowds, try to go on a weekday. I believe they are closed on... More
Beautiful beach. Chairs available for rent for $5. Plenty of shade available if needed. Pina coladas served in a pineapple and they give you the pineapple that they remove along with your drink. Beer was cheap...under $2 a can.
Always a great visit. We went in early March and it was almost empty, although the water was a little cool. Nice new changing / bathroom house, food/drinks. Family place.
This beach is a must stop! We came here twice on our recent visit to PR. The beach is long, wide, and the swimming area is big with really calm waters. Tons of palm trees around and during the weekdays not at all busy. The bathroom/locker services are OK, cheap. The drinks are great at the beach store, splurge for... More
