The Bio-luminescent Kayaking Adventure was a lot of fun. There was work involved with two people per kayak and traveling through the pitch dark Mango groves. As long as the two of you work together as instructed it was not that difficult. My friend and I are 64 and 69 years old and we managed just fine. It was fun... More

First, the good. We loved seeing the bioluminescent bay. It was really cool. I would've loved the opportunity to paddle around for a little while once we got there. We were told to gather in the middle and to hold the kayak beside you. To see the bioluminescence, you were to dip your hand in. While holding the kayaks, you... More

This is a family owned and operated company. They run on island time and we loved every minute of it. We were never rushed or had to cut something short. If we started late we were able to stay late. The snacks they served between snorkeling the reef and snorkeling with the turtles was homemade and very tasty. We took... More

This was an awful experience. When we arrived it was hard to find our operator, the "Yellow Tent" did not exist. The parking lot is poorly lit and in a very unsavory and sketchy section. My internal alarms were ringing however we were lured by the bio-illuminscent experience. I should have listened and not gone, because sure enough we returned... More

My wife and I went hoping to see the bioluminescence bay. Unfortunately the moon was full so to see them we had to go under a tarp our guides provided. We could see them then but the best part was going back through the mangrove in the dark with the moon coming through the mangroves. Amazing sight!

Shame on the kayak companies who continue to charge top dollar to take you into the bay that has very little luminescence. There were seven us, so we are talking $350. We were there February 17th...not full moon, but close enough to render your ability to see any of the organism pretty much non-existent. They did put us under a... More

I was not aware these tours to Bio Bay book up so I was grateful Island Kayak tours could fit our party of 5 for the 8pm tour. The staff was very nice and informative. I was partnered with my 12 year old so the paddling was difficult. Its VERY VERY dark through the channel to the bay. Because we... More

My husband and I used this company to go on a tour of the bioluminescent bay in Fajardo. We were picked up at our hotel and were driven about 45 minutes to the bay. The driver was very knowledgeable and shared bit of Puerto Rican history with us during the ride. We had 5 kayak guides with us during the... More

This was a very well run operation. They gave us custom driving directions from our hotel and the woman that checked us in was very nice and offered to lock up our wallets, etc. so we didn't have to leave them in the car. Our guides were also very nice and informative (I think our lead guide was Miguel, my... More

We are a team of 5. And all of us enjoyed it. I read some reviews noting about bug bites, so I wore long jeans and running shoes. I was soaked wet after 15 minutes into the trip had started. Many people wear swimming suits and no shoes1 Smart! There was small snack and bottles water provided after the trip.... More
