Clyde Muirshiel is Scotland's Largest Regional Park covering 108 square miles of Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and North Ayrshire. Recently described as 'the green lungs of Glasgow' Clyde Muirshiel provides the best in Countryside Ranger events, facilities and leisure opportunities. The Regional Park is home to numerous sites and locations. It has 3 Visitor Centres located at Castle Semple Country Park Lochwinnoch, Greenock Cut Centre beside Loch Thom, near Inverkip and Muirshiel Country Park, near Lochwinnoch. There is also a Campsite at Barnbrock Farm, near Kilbarchan and a sandy beach at Lunderston Bay, near Gourock. We offer our visitors free parking and entry, charges apply for overnight stays at Barnbrock campsite, Outdoor Activity groups and courses and BBQ hire. All of our Visitor Centres have toilets, cafes and gift shops as well as picnic sites, scenic walks, trails, cycles and fantastic wildlife viewing opportunities. Please make clear which of our locations your review refers to (site map available in our images). Typical Scottish weather so no star gazing but talk and slide show about the local galaxy was great. My son and nephew loved the whole experience and will defo be heading back. All the staff where really friendly and engaging with the childrenMore

Excellent facilities and information centre! Easy to find paths! We cycled up to the old mine! Thoroughly enjoyed it even thought it poured with rain! Brilliant scenery and wildlife too!

Great place for family walks. 1hr -3 hrs. Walk up to windy hill is pretty easy, grat for young kids but will give them a sense of achievement. Fantastic place to fly a kite, sledge or just clear some cowebs. Longer walk up to abandoned...More
