Well worth a visit for visitors of all ages. Good introduction to the history of Godalming and surrounding area. Lots of interesting artefacts and the building was lovely to look at, both inside and outside. There was an exhibition about the Arts and Crafts movement...More

What a lovely museum. Lots of great and informative exhibits about Godalming and Godalming's historical connections to the wider world. The volunteers were very welcoming, informative and wonderfully friendly throughout. The museum is free, and well worth a visit.

This is the second time we have visited this welcoming local museum, the first being three years ago. We enjoyed it just as much the second time. The museum provides rich insights into the specific archaeology and history of Godalming, with idiosyncratic but compelling items...More

We visited here to kill some time and spent the best part of an hour reading about Godalming's history and looking at things. We both enjoyed it and I purchased a thimble from the gift shop afterwards.

A nice little museum full of interest, and possibly the best coffee in Godalming, particularly nice in the courtyard on a fine day.

Don't miss the obscure doorway on Godalming's lovely High Street! This is an excellent example of a local museum, with professional staff and dedicated volunteers. It tells the story of the locality but is also essential for those of us interested in two hometown heroes,...More

Great little museum, has permanent and travelling exhibitions mainly based around the history of Godalming itself, a small town with a surprisingly long history. Compact space means it’s perfect for children who only need a limited attention span to see the lot. Plenty of great...More

The museum looks like just a doorway on the high street, don't be put off by how tiny it looks, as it extends out the back and has an upper floor. A lot has been crammed in to this tiny place with some fascinating facts....More
