We had a private driver who took us off the beaten path so we were able to see the true Irish countryside. It was beautiful to pass the scenic cliffs, water views, sweeping green open country

So many beautiful sites along this drive (cliffs, ocean, fields, stone houses, and Skellig Michael). Nice to get off the roads that have so many tour buses, but be prepared that a few stretches on this road are narrow, steep, and allow only one car...More

If you are in a car, I would advise to take this drive. No tour buses (still narrow roads!) and some amazing scenery! Less traffic than RoK

You have missed a piece of the heart of Ireland if you don’t drive along the dingle peninsula. Beautiful countryside, photo op stops, quaint shops

Beautiful, breathtaking drive along Wild Atlantic ocean, beautiful beaches, mountains and people. If you are visiting Ring of Kerry don't forget to add the Skelling Ring Drive in your list.

We were advised to do the Skellig Ring and not just the ring of Kerry. Good advice. Skellig Ring is a lovely and scenic drive. Be sure to go to the little museum across the water from Portmagee to learn about the monastery life on...More

it is as the name says, a very scenic drive. Many locations to view the ocean, the farms and fields of Ireland and other interesting sights.

Highlight of an Irish Road Trip for sure. A must do on any Irish trip. The views are amazing with a new view on every turn. Some quaint villages, such a range of sights, from cliffs to pastures, villages to sand beaches.

The skelligs just sticking up out of the water are magical. It is also amazing that monks spent summers living in such rustic conditions.

I've done the ring of Kerry before ; this is superior. The roads are too narrow and the hairpin bends too hairy for tour buses so it's just you and the cyclists. We were staying in Waterville and started from there. Ballinskelligs is pretty but...More
