We drove up a narrow winding road and were lucky to be only the second car there, as we were able to find a parking spot. There are not many parking spots. The castle ruins were already closed when we arrived for our visit, but it was still nice to walk around and admire the history. We had dinner at... More

A nice way to spend the afternoon. The ruins are very scenic, and the view of Landstuhl from the top is quite breathtaking.

Lovely view from the upper levels. Not much to read as it is only partly standing. Interesting and easy to get around. Walking to it hard if groups are there as car parking down or up the hill and hard for small children or disabled.

If your looking for a restored castle you may want to skip, but I love it. The ruins are excellent and it's easy to imagine how spectacular they must have been in their time. Viewing Landstul and Ramstein below is gorgeous as well. Nice hike to get there though.

Great castle to visit with friend or family. Take visitor's there for a quick "schloss experience". Love their biergarten as well. Excellent german food! Schnitzel is great.

Even though not huge yet it is nice and tranquil. Driving there by following gps led to a blocked section I have to zig-zag through it. Parking is easy. Saw several families' photo sessions there.

We opted for hiking instead of driving to the top. Please drive if you have any health issues. The hike is steep but should only take about 30 minutes a snails pace. Part of the hike for us was on a hairpin turn street so be cautious. I would not hike with children. Beautiful view of the town. Food and... More

My husband and I hiked up to the burg and ate at the little German restaurant next to the ruin. The view and service were great. We had our two dogs with us and the waitresses really made over them and gave them lots of treats. The beer was delicious, but how can you mess up German beer? The food... More

My husband and I visited this place while in town, and we're very happy we did. To find this place was a little difficult. Asked a few people, but we found it. If you are driving you will know you are close once you pass or go across a neighborhood. You will think you are lost, but you are not!... More
