It's my 4 time to Sabah especially Kota Kinabalu. Never failed to amazed me everytime... although the spending expenses has gone up a little faster and higher than I expected. But still worth the value

Sabah is one of nice place to visit in Malaysia, the place you can enjoy the cheap and fresh seafood.. i love seafood!!!

Since Borneo/Sabah is not the malaysian peninsula, this is travelling off the main backpacker-tracks. The advantages are: not that many tourists, which is most of the times quite good regarding catching accomodations just by walking in and asking for a room, getting tickets for busses...More

not much to write home about, variety of south asian foods, visited the national park but it was quite a commute, locals are generally friendly but a bit slow so don't bring your big city expectations there...

This place is rich with culture and colourful people. Sabahan are very friendly and very helpful. I enjoy the whole time I was in this state!
