Take a local guide by paying a standard fee of Rs. 300/- and understand the history as you climb about 500 steps of the fort. Although none of the fort interiors are in place as it seems britishers destroyed those in the past

...olld walls and some monkeys. Really cool place, worth every (of many) steps walking up the hill! Rewarded by incredible 360 views and, if you are lucky, spotting some grey langoors. There is also a small temple and some shops/small restaurants.

Hi Shilpi, Mahabaleshwar is a pleasant Hill Station and there are no beaches around atleast more than 100 Kms... You might have seen picture which could have been used for representation purpose of other tourist... More
