Beautiful and great morning climb!

My husband and a friend climbed Fuya Fuya, and it was a great experience. It's definitely good to be in good fit condition, as some parts of the climb are steeper than they appear.

From the bottom it looks like it'll be easy, but the high altitude makes is a challenge. We loved it, though! The views are amazing in every direction. Just bring some water and take your time. It... An incredible climb and accomplishment for the more acclimatized members of the family while the rest enjoyed the hiking around the Mojanda Lakes.

We organized a pick up truck for reasonable price to take us to the Laguna Mojanda, wait there several hours, while we hiked to the top of Fuya Fuya and take us back to Otavalo. The road form Otavalo was a bit bumpy, after 30-40 minutes we have reached the shores of nice laguna Mojanda below Fuya Fuya. From here... More
