My girlfriend and I were on vacation through Okanagan wine country. Over six days, we visited sixty wineries. You can follow our various locations with this disclaimer. That’s sixty wineries, not an exaggeration. What’s the biggest lesson to take back from it? For one, don’t feel pressured to buy wine from every winery, because you end up trying to squeeze... More

What an awesome place to stop on my winery tour. Desert Hills Estate was a gem. So glad I made this one of the stops on my four day tour. The owners treated everyone like long time friends. I even purchased a red! And I usually do not enjoy red wine!! A Port found it's way home with me too.... More

Some superb wines here, converted one of our party to port! Great dedication to wine presentation. And a huge dog.

You can really see the dedication to the craft by this family-run winery. Enjoyable tasting experience. My only caveat: seems a bit pushy to join the wine club. Definitely a must-stop, though!

This 2016 Lt. Governor wine award winning winery (2013 Living Desert Red) is a great mix of wine and east Asian culture. Friendly family run operation has been on the land there for many years as they first were tree fruit farmers. Down by Osoyoos and the US Canada border they have good growing conditions for red and white wine... More

Desert Hills is one of my absolute favourites. Both great red and white varieties, notably the Viognier and the The Ambassador Port. The staff working are always great, very knowledgeable about the wines, very personable and always into having a laugh. The resident dog is a big highlight. Keep up the good work guys, I will be coming for years... More

We tasted reds only here. Pleasant tasting room, especially with the resident dog In attendance. Unfortunately our service was nothing more than perfunctory. We learned nothing of the wines beyond their year and variety. Wineries, take heed...many of us do search for an experience! We especially enjoyed the Gamay, which was a spicy easy sipper. The Malbec was quite nice,... More

Loved the tasting room at Desert Hills! Our kids instantly fell in love with the resident dog, Ali, which freed us up to taste the entire collection. The server was knowledgable and friendly and we enjoyed the experience!

I was part of a bachelorette party and we went to Desert Hills for some wine tasting. We had made a reservation months ago and unfortunately they forgot. They went out of their way to make the experience the absolute best and I would recommend them in a heart beat. Our server, son of the owner, was amazing. He put... More

Tastings are offered by donation. Some very good tasting wines offered, and very reasonably priced. A must visit on your next wine tour of the Okanagan
