Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited for the first time for a wake.

Not sure whether they serve food on a regular basis but given they have a function room I suspect that they do. They did for the wake.

The staff were very polite and helpful and the beer was good and at a very reasonable price.

Will visit again when in the area.

As I live local I have had the pleasure of frequenting this pub for drinks, Lunch and various functions from Parties to Wakes. It really is a nice welcoming British pub and one of the few left that is able to open all day every day. Its nice and spacious, a good range of beers and ales at reasonable prices. The food is always nice whether a meal from the kitchen or the spreads put on at functions....never had a bad experience. There is outdoor seating to the front and back also. Definetley a must do if you live local or visiting the area. St Peters is a lovely village to just have a wonder around and you can tie the Red Lion in nicely with any visit. Keep up the good work.

A proper old locals pub with a nice atmosphere. They do home cooked lunches and Sunday lunch is excellent. There is also a meet raffle and a snowball that is drawn on a Sunday. The staff are very friendly as are the locals. The village has a tour that is extremely interesting called the St Peters Tour which is well worth going on (Thursdays).
