A very small family-friendly beach that can disappear at high spring tides. A small cafe on the esplanade offers early morning tea and bacon rolls for munching on the esplanade while watching the sun rise over the channel.

Broadstairs is one of our favourite seaside towns to visit for the day. It has an uncommercialised seafront with victorian architecture. Sandy beaches. Free on street parking. Louisa Bay beach on the south side of the town is a smaller beach and has a beach...More

This beach is the nearest to where I live in broadstairs so visit it a lot. Great cafe but no toilet that I can recall. For those that moan about dogs this may be better than dumpton gap as not allowed on beach after 10am...More

This bay is a lovely, fun experience. With soft, silky sand and natural looking walls for kids to draw on with chalk from the cliffs. The Louisa Bay Cafe has really nice food and tops of the experience. In the summer, bring a wet suit and...More

This is a much small bay than Viking with not so much going on. There is a café which was closed when we visited but not a great deal else to see. It may be nicer when the larger beach next door becomes too busy?

Easy ramp down for launching and you can keep clear of most of the holiday makers and children swimming here unlike by launching from Viking Bay. It enable you to get straight on to the rockpools around the tidal paddling pool which pushes the waves...More

One of the 7 sandy bays around Broadstairs that are gently sloping to the sea so safer than many for children and has really nice café for drinks and paninis etc plus close to Broadstairs itself for cream teas and the usual fish and chips

Quieter bay than neighbouring Viking Bay, brilliant for pure beach fun with stunning views, we just stayed here for hours, sitting, swimming & relaxing with little walks to the rock pools.

Gorgeous little beach which I've frequented over my 19 years in Broadstairs, complete with the lovely Louisa Bay café. Perfect for a dip in the sea and sunning yourself!

At least twice a week I have a coffee here, often accompanied by a warm panini. Splendid views across the beach, especially good at low tide. Friendly staff, loyalty scheme and good breakfast and warm food options for location.
