A lovely building - the old King Nikola’s Palace. But its a shame it is going into disrepair. Definitely needs some work doing on the building, I presume they don’t have the money which is such a shame.
Some very interesting artefacts, but no English translations - if they made a few plaques in English it may bring in some more visitors? Entry is €2 per person.
This place definitely has potential, just needs a bit of work and it could be a brilliant museum!! Niksic was a lovely little stop over on the way from the mountains back to Podgorica.

This museum needs restauration. But I assume money is not available. It was a very special experience to visit the collection as only visitors. The conservator opened doors just for us two. It was clear that the budget for lighting and repairing was long gone. A suggestion for restoration: add some explication in English. But would not have missed this visit. Also the exposition (on the ground floor) of modern art from the region learned us a lot about the state of the art in Montenegro.

Our guide gave us a really informative tour of this palace/museum. They have been able to showcase many of the furnishings the very large family had. I hope I am giving you the correct building. I have a photo of the outside, as they do not allow photography inside. We loved the painting of all the other European rulers who became relatives through marriage to his many children. Great history lesson.

One of the worst museums I've been to.
It was dark and smelled of cigarette smoke inside.
No English explanation.
I walked out after a few minutes.
