Good ole Willie is always smiling no matter the weather! He never gets up to leave, even when there's a swarm of terrible musicians playing horrendous music beside him. A true Irish legend and an inspiration to us all!

This new statue in Main Street, Miltown Malbay, is a well deserved tribute to Willie Clancy, the legendary Irish Uileann piper! There's a fantastic music festival every July in his honour.

I stumbled across this sculpture on my way along the street ,as some other visitors were taking photos ; This is so good ,and so well worth taking a minute to reflect on Willie . I must say I was delighted to think this option...More

Willie was a world famous Irish Artist.. But facing the shops on the side of the street is not the place to have his statue.... there are plenty of places on the Main street where he could be set back from the road and benches...More
