We have just had our first trip with Hedonistic Hiking in the Piemonte region of Italy. We loved exploring this beautiful area, away from the main tourist traps. The scenery was stunning, the hotels very comfortable with superb breakfasts and the hiking was so enjoyable ( and necessary to burn off a few of the calories!) We particularly loved Chinzia's... We had our first foray into Hedonistic Hiking last year when we did the Italian Lakes walking tour. It was fantastic! This year we did the inaugural France/Italy walking tour, it was equally as fantastic if not even more fantastic. The walks were brilliant, very challenging but worth it for amazing views and amazing picnics. Hotels were perfect as were... More

Revisiting a travel experience is considered a risky choice. Second time round it can struggle to match the memories of the first time. Not so for me with this trip to Piedmonte led by Jackie and her new apprentice Will. Two excellent hotels, digestible soupcons of culture, and excellent local food and wine from the home of the Slow Food... More

This is by no means the easiest of Hedonistic Hiking's trips, and be warned that you do need to be physically fit and well kitted out with walking poles and good boots. Having said that, this is a spectacular walk, starting in France and ending in Piedmont, Italy. Every care is taken to make this holiday a breathtaking introduction to... More

I signed up for the Medieval Tuscany trip having no clue what to expect. I have also never hiked before. To say it was a challenge is an understatement especially for a first time hiker. Needless to say I rose to the challenge and what an amazing experience. Jackie(tour guide and owner) gave me confidence and encouragement. The motto is... More

I went on this tour not knowing a thing about it as a friend organised and recommended it whilst I beavered away at work until the we were on the plane. So I had no expectations and was up to what ever went on. Brilliant is the only thing I can say. Well organised, great people, the hikes were challenging... More

This holiday that combined amazing hiking, delicious food and wine and boutique accommodation was a wonderful experience. Add to this the knowledge, kindness and good company of Jackie and Annabelle and you have a trip in the wild Abruzzo region of Italy that can only be described as magnificent. We explored three different regions of Abruzzo over the 8 night... More

Well, we were not really hikers but the idea of hiking in Piedmont Italy in truffle season, staying in boutique style accommodation and eating wonderful food and drinking great wine for a week could not be resisted. Our guides Jackie and Mick were fabulous with an in depth knowledge of history, food and wine. Each day was well organised and... More

Over the past 6 years, Hedonistic Hiking has opened the door for me to discovering Italy. What an amazing adventure it has been and they have never disappointed me on their many and varied walks. Their latest treat is in Southern Italy. This was my 10th walking holiday in Italy with Jackie and Mick Parsons. With 15 other eager hikers... More

Jackie's attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills, fantastic regional food and wine experiences, brilliant long lunch on our day 'off', lots of lovely add-ons - eg caramel cake and coffee after a tough vertical climb, chilled beers in the local village fountain - made the Italian Walking tour all we had hoped for and more. The accommodation in Brunate was... More
