Good tasting wines that locals are producing for the name “Parsons” on the bottle’s labels. The hospitality was good, although rushed when we visited unfortunately. After visiting other smaller family owned vineyards, this was not our favorite stop.

This winery, very close to the city of Montalcino, makes some of the best Brunellos around. Their 2010 was incredible. Laura, the GM, loves to give you the true skinny about the locals.

Il Palazzone is just on the outskirts of Montalcino. I had a reservation and Laura, the wineries manager greeted us (5) warmly and gave the most informative tour starting at the edge of one of the wineries vineyards. We tasted three wines: Rosso Del Palazzone...More

My wife and I enjoyed a special tour of Il Palazzone winery and tasting room in October. The tour guide was very cordial and made every effort to ensure we had a great time. We really enjoyed the wine tasting of the Brunello de Montalcino.

We drove to the winery without a reservation but the vineyard manager, Laura, greeted us and we were able to have the tour and wine tasting. NOTE: Laura advised that Italian wineries don't often staff their tasting rooms full time, and rarely have English speaking...More
