I’m not gonna glorify this hike as it’s quite a tough one, but even if you’re not the sporty type you’ll be alright as long as you stop every now and then on the way up. Be aware that there are some loose stones so...More

There are upper and lower Tsambika monasteries. Not sure about the significance of the lower one, maybe for the religious, but the upper monastery with its location and its views is really worth the effort of getting there. We drove to the place where you...More

Do not be put off by comments about the 300+ steps, we nearly were but found the way up very manageable and not that strenuous. Park at the top level by the restaurant, not the first lower parking area, this will save you a steep...More

You really need a car for this unless you are a fit experienced walker. Drive most of the way as far as you can go and then it's on foot. It's still a tough walk up but it's well worth the slog. The sights from...More

Visited in October and drove up to the small car park which just left the small matter of the 300 steps to the top. These start off quite large but then become smaller with a few twists and turns nearer the top. They are also...More

It was hard for us to climb up 300 steps but the view at the top was beautiful and breathtaking! There were many goats who were not scared and followed us because we had food.

Hello there! It's from early morning 7:00 am to the sunset . That means it depens on the time the sun sets. Anyway, it's not easy to climb up without light. Have fun in the sunniest island of Greece !!!
