Its a self-guided tour where you can see this bce water fall. The trip is as exciting as the waterfall itself. It easy to get there and I recoment it.

It wasn’t as big as I expected, but crossing the river on all the rope bridges and getting to swim made it a good trip.

Time spent depends on what you want to do. They do offer zip line and I have done it BUT will not repeat. Too expensive for only one platform. Pretty to walk around paths but that's it.

I enjoyed this attraction for the money. For $5 we received a walking stick and were able to hike around the falls. We just stood on a suspended bridge watching and listening to El Chorro Macho. It was serene and beautiful. Spectacular blue butterflies keep...More

Quite a nice walk amongst the forest area along side the river. Approx 1/2 a mile from the car park to the falls this is an easy walk with very little climbing or up hill sections...

We enjoyed the short hike through the forrest and ended up at the natural pool where we swimmed and it was great. Definitely worth the extra few dollars.

The waterfall is not what the name implies in Spanish. Yeah it’s a waterfall but it was not spectacular by any means. The forest was beautiful. Btw if you drive there the street sign for this attraction simply reads “El Macho” & nothing about El...More

We hesitated to go here because of some of the scathing reviews but we were very glad we did. We spent about an hour there exploring the paths. It's not a hilke - think of it more like going round a park or botanical garden...More

We paid the $5 to get in. It is worth the money. Trail is well maintained and the waterfall was beautiful even near the end of dry season. They give you walking sticks to use. Easy trail and maybe 10 minutes to the waterfall.

Nothing special. Really short hike that is nothing special also. Was disappointed. Keep going up the road and there is a much better hike that goes to the top of the mountain.

It is up to the workers that are on staff to make this available. If you feel inclined to give them a tip, this would help the situation and make it possible to bring in your dog.

Go through the main town of El Valle... past the market on your left (there is a little tourism office there) keep going over a little bridge... take the right fork (you will see tourist signs to El Macho) just a little way... More
