The market was well organized and the crafts were amazing and sold for good value. The selection of fruits and vegetables was varied and inexpensive. We got a whole pineapple for a bargain price of $2.50!! You must go when you are in the area!...More

El Valle is a small town and this market is small. However, there are a few vendors who have excellent offerings. One in particular has quality molas. I also found some interesting pieces of jewelry hand made from tagua and twine. It's always interesting to...More

There is no difference if you come here on a Sunday or any other day. Maybe some more people selling plants but the vegetable and trinket sellers are here every day. Not really a main attraction. Next to the tourist office.

Although we did not go on a Sunday, more venders and artisans contribute to the local market! Their work is absolutely beautiful, and I purchased two handmade Molas! I definitely recommend going to this market during the weekend.

I had some time to kill on Sunday afternoon so I walked here from Casco Viejo (a short walk - 10-15 minutes). The setup was interesting, but I really didn't see a variety of food stalls. Worth a look. It was recommended to me by...More

A town in the middle of a dormant volcano about a half hour from the city of Coronado. Beautiful lush trees and plants coming into the area. The market has many handmade items that would make excellent gifts for anyone. A large fruit/vegetable area (if...More

We have a home in the beach community of Coronado, and it is always a pleasure to break away from the heat by taking a 30 minute drive to El Valle...
