Love the kite museum. Various kinds of kites could be sighted. They even have a workshop to show you how a kite is being made. Visitors can buy the kites on the spot

The museum is free, but you must show picture id before you go in and also go though a metal detector. The showcases have lots of interesting stories and kites displays. It was very interesting and I would go back again.

One of the best things to do in weifang. Museum is two storeyed building with large open area in the middle of building. I visited here on sunday afternoon and it was free - I don't know why I can't speak chinese! They required passport and that was all. There are english explanations in exhibition area. Visit here if you... More

Weifang is known for their kite, you must go. It is amazing! you will need to take a taxi, once you are ready to leave, have someone that work at the museum call you a taxi. It is hard to find a taxi.

A must visit place when you are staying in Weifang, just opposite of Kite Square, it's the best place to spend the time with your family and of course all kinds of kite you could find here neither From china or other part of the world

Nothing to do as a tourist so the Kite Museum is OK so spend 1 hour. Went to the Kite Festival in the country side and that was much more fun with huge kites ( so many style ) and fun fair atmosphere.....

I have a summer internship in Weifang, for 3 months. In my first month after visiting many places, I would put this at the top of them all. It's very relaxing, somewhere to clear your head. A place where you can spend a couple of hours admiring the craftsmanship, learning about Weifang's rich history & respect the city. Hands down,... More

The utter lack of proper sinage (okay, there was one difficult-too-see-unless-you're-up-close sign at the end of the street) makes this place hard to find. The sign in Tripadvisor's photo no longer exists. The lack of proper signage (and the lack of concern about it in the ticket office) is why I only gave an average review. Once you do manage... More

Definitely worth the visit. And if you can do it, attend the Weifang international kite festival, it's really amazing to see some of these kites fly.
