Loved my two nights at the Dwyka tented lodge- what a beautiful place. The staff at Sanbona were all wonderful - smiling, caring, attentive - from the entrance gate all the way to the lodge . I would never have imagined I could walk and watch a cheetah feeding so close and the white lions were beautiful. Our guide ,... More

We really enjoyed our time in sanbona and all the rides. Our guide Nico was very knowledgeable, he had a good eye for spotting animals and our kids liked him a lot. Very good food (we ate a lot!) and it would've been needed more time to enjoy the facilities as well (we spend onlY one night there)

If you're looking to do a safari near Cape Town this should be the one. The experience is incredible well refined from beginning to end and supported by a dedicated team of professionals. Comfort is the priority every step of the way but the food, lodging and staff are world class. Our guide (Yanny) was absolutely outstanding and went above... More

Sanbona is the second largest private reserves in the world. Staffed by a team of knowledgeable, caring rangers and care takers, the trip really opened my mind and heart to beautiful Africa. We stayed 2 nights in the Gondwana Lodge for families and had a relaxing, fun-filled experience. Our young ranger was enthusiastic and passionate about his work. He shared... More

This was our first safari. We were able to see 4 of the big five. I was impressed with everything there. We stayed in Dwyka the tents and well work it. Each tent has its private view of the mountain backdrop, private deck with outdoor jacuzzi, inside bathtub and shower. But, the outdoor shower was preferred. The service was great,... More

My wife and I spent 3 days/2 nights at Sanbona as part of our honeymoon and it was phenomenal. We stayed at the Dwyka tented camp and it was luxurious at the same time as feeling completely remote. The staff was friendly, ready to lend a hand whenever possible and the food was even better. The game drives were something... More

This is still a relatively new game park, with the advantage of being near enough to Cape Town for a couple of nights away, but remote enough to feel as though you are truly in the wilderness. It's great at the moment, but will get better and better as the years go by. At the moment, there are no animals... More

Still in it's infancy, Sanbona will be fabulous in several years time. Don't waste your time on the south side of the fence. Nothing to see.

I spent 3 days at Dwyka tented camp - it was luxurious and an amazing experience! The guides were fantastic - Marco took us to see some of the most amazing animals in their own habitat. He was respectful of the animals, and also our own comfort levels as his guests. His knowledge and motivation for what he does made... More
