Loved these caves the best. Tour guide was awesome and knowledgeable. Was patient with us when we stopped to take photos. Amazing history. Will definitely go back for another visit some day. Don't miss this cave when visiting Waitomo!

Interesting bush walk to get there. Dry cave so no glowworms. Well lit with loads of amazing rock formations and chance to take all the photos you want. Excellent guide. Recommended trip.

Loved Aranui Cave. Lovely walk to the cave and inside was different to the other two caves near by. The tour guide was great and informative

This cave is completely different to the glow worm caves and the fact you can take pictures adds it to the "must see" list. it starts with a short walk through native bush and our guide Mark gave a talk about the plants and trees...More

The best part about this cave was the walk though the bush and entering in the side of the hill. This made it a much more natural feel. Although inside is fully boardwalked and concrete so not as good.

Aranui Cave is probably the best thing I saw in New Zealand. It isn't as unique as the glow worm caves, but it's more spectacular. Coming from a region with similar caves, I have to say the formations in Aranui are the most impressive I've...More

This is the last cave that we went into aside from Waitomo Glowworm Cave and Ruakuri Cave. I found this cave the most beautiful of them all. Even though you will not see any glowworm here because it is a dry cave, you will get...More
