Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An eye-opening museum for anyone, particularly for non-Peruvians who, like us, only had a fleeting understanding of the internal conflicts which tore Peru apart in 1980’s through to 2000. Their theme is truth & reconciliation, extremely informative.

The Yalpana Wasi deals with the history and the circumstances of the armed conflicts in Peru during the years 1980-2000. The exhibition is very informative, well structured, and deals with many aspects of the conflict, including a broad historical context and also focusing on the rural and indigenous communities. Good English translations of all information available. I highly recommend visiting this museum, it was one of the best I visited in Peru.

A fantastic museum which deals with the pre history and antecedents of the internal armed conflict far more than similar museums in Lima and Ayacucho. A moving and informative exhibition, a must see if passing through Huancayo.
