cave by boat

After a short walk through the cav you arrive at a place to get in the boat. It is interesting and good to see what happens inside the mogotes.

Unless you've never visited a cave with a river, don't bother! Very short ride (20mn) on a boat in a not very spectacular grotto with a few undistinguished features...

A real tourist trap! You literally walk inside the cave for not even 5 minutes, and then you take a little boat for 5 min (and if you're lucky without any wait) where a "guide", who is incredibly bored and apathetic, will pretend to show you stone formations looking like a fish or a sea horse. Definitely not worth wasting... More

After walking in this cave for 10-15 minutes you will end up at a river. There are boats that takes you further into the cave and the guide point out to you shapes and interesting views before you will be out in the sun again on the other side of the cave with green curtains hanging down from the mountain

Despite it not appearing to be that busy we had to wait around 30 minutes before we could enter the cave and then another 30 whilst in the cave before boarding the boat. Given that the walk through the cave takes 2 - 3 minutes and the boat ride around 5 minutes I have to say that unfortunately it wasn't... More

Hire an English speaking driver for a couple of hours. Ask him to take you when tour buses are not there. If you have physical difficulties, tell him, he can arrange to get you on the boat without a long walk. Cave is wonderful. Then ask him to take you to a tobacco farm to watch cigars being made...and just... More

It was nice entering the cool caves after coming from hot outside. There was a queue and it took 20 min to get on the boat. The boat trip inside is short but good experience if you have children. The area outside has cafe and restaurants,a s well as parking.

200 yards of the 1 km cave accessible. easy walking- not as good as cheddar gorge so dont expect too much but the boat trip was fun, enjoyable but doesn't really justify taking mulitiple coachloads. We came early on our own and it was fun.

not lit well in some places however the boat ride at the end makes it all worth it. Quite a nice little spot to spend about half an hour = there are also nearby restaurants serving good fresh food - definitely worth a go. It is also one of the stops on the Vinales tourist bus so highly recommended!!
