We frequently come to Barbados to visit relatives. We like to stay in different places on the island and this visit we rented a lovely villa in the Atlantic Rising subdivision called CouCou. It was a very nice home and the booking process via Flipkey was seamless. The subdivision is steps from the entry point of the lovely Bottom Bay.... More

This beach is an absolutely superb location and one if not the best beach in the island. Really difficult to find but well worth the effort. Stunning view .

Armed only with a tourist map, Bottom Bay was very tricky to find, but when we arrived there were no regrets. It is a stunning location for a sunbathe and a picnic. The sea must be respected there. The waves were quite big on the day we visited, but once through it was great fun. Don't swim too far out... More

My family has been coming to this beach for years. The scenery is breathtaking and it is never crowded. There are a few guys selling coconuts with fresh coconut milk, but other than that there isn't anyone selling anything which is nice. The waves are fun to plan in, and a little rougher than the other side. We had a... More

watch the undertow here! I do not recommend actually thinking about swimming but the wave action is fantastic. NO lifeguards so please take this area seriously. The beach is very quiet on this east coast area. great place to see some serious wave action especially after any storm.

A cool morning breeze jog with no one to avoid. This beach is clean, secluded, and well worth the time to check out before sundown or just after sun up. Take a book or laptop with a comfortable chair and snack, and it's all you'll need in the world.

A dramatic and beautiful, secluded beach. Great blue water (probably too rough to swim). Lovely palm trees. Watch out for the 42 steep steps tho'

We stayed in a Villa about 5 minutes from Bottom Bay Beach, it's untouched and one of the best beaches I've seen. If you are going to Barbados then it's worth a look, go see paradise for yourself. When we went no one was on the beach, though the water is rough.

This is no doubt a beautiful beach, perhaps the best in Barbados. It is on the East side of the island which means that the sea is rough and it is not really a beach for swimming. That said, had it not been for the safety issue, we would have loved to have spent the day there, reading a book... More

Bottom Bay is located in St. Philips and is a tucked away beach few tourist are aware of exist. It's perfect to just be a beach bum and work on your tan. The waves tend to be a little rougher than Pebbles Beach located in Christ Church. If you want to stay on the beach and soak in some waves... More
