Santa special, what a magical day, everyone put so much effort into making this so special for children and adults alike! As for Santa, he was definitelythe real one 😊 he spoke with every child and was wonderful, thankyou for a great experience.

This little railway is overshadowed by the Ffestiniog Railway further down the road but is well worth a visit. Its most notable train is Russell. There is a café on site and shop. The train journey isn't very long and on the return there is...More

Yet another great day out on the Welsh Highland Railway - the second visit this year. Fabulous views but alas we had rain so that kind of spoilt the view! However on the return journey we decided to travel in the “open” carriage which was...More

We'd been before but many years ago, we were pleased to see the car park is still free & the cafe & shop are still good value. A family ticket was about £22 and for an hour or so activity we think this represents good...More

Although only a short line it is well worth visiting for the time spent at Gelert's Farm museum and engine shed, which has some fascinating exhibits. The staff were friendly and helpful, which is always a bonus.

Plus points: Reasonably priced Volunteers friendly Shop and cafe excellent Museum half way up the line is interesting Negative Points: Journey short Carriages uncomfy On the whole best suited to younger children who would find a longer journey boring. However not bad value for money
