Hagley Hall and Park are among the supreme achievements of...

Hagley Hall and Park are among the supreme achievements of eighteenth-century English architecture and landscape gardening. They remain largely the creation of one man, George, 1st Lord Lyttelton, landscaped the grounds in the new ‘picturesque’ style and who was responsible for the building of the house as it is seen today.

There has been a park at Hagley since the reign of Edward III but the present outstanding landscape was created between 1747 and 1758 with follies designed by Lord Camelford and Sanderson Miller amongst others.

Home to Lord & Lady Cobham, Hagley Hall, last of the great Palladian houses, with its rich Rococo decoration and surrounded by 350 acres of picturesque parkland, is a remarkable tribute to the artistic achievements of the great eighteenth-century amateurs, offering a splendid and unique venue for your wedding day or corporate event.

We are open for public tours from January to March each year.

My family and I visited for the first time this weekend after living in the area for decades. As National Trust members we were very impressed with the quality of the sympathetic restoration to this private home. As good as many National Trust properties. The tour was excellent, with an extremely knowledgeable host, taken at an unhurried pace. Well worth... More

They offer tours and there is a tea shop. They also hold a Christmas market. It is a beautiful house. They host weddings here. If you are lucky you will have tea in the beautiful ornate hall with gilt carvings on the wall.

Very interesting exhibitions, choice of stands for house & garden items, not what you would see on the high street and always good to see these things rather than pics on the internet

We were given a gift of an Afternoon Tea at Hagley Hall as a Christmas present. What a lovely time we had. Really lovely, friendly, welcoming staff. Fabulous setting & fantastic food. Hagley Hall doesn't host Afternoon Teas very often, so we were lucky. What more can we say. If you get the chance to try it & enjoy!!

A group I belong to arranged a guided tour now because this hall is only open for tours a few weeks a year. Our guide was very informative and showed us around the seven rooms that are open to the public. Apart from the guide's expert knowledge, which really added to the occasion, the most interesting features for me were... More

Guide house tour interesting and not rushed, informative guide, ground floor rooms only as house occupied by family. Also visited church near car park which was very clean, well kept and with lovely stained glass windows. Hall not signposted from roads so check for directions. Further development planned for gardens and land with deers, so hope to revisit.

Very informative tour with a guide who tells the story of the family and points out all relevant features and family history. Beautiful ceilings and fireplaces in every room. It is obviously a well used family home. Not open many days in the year and not signposted very well, but worth visiting. The tearoom is good to visit. Not a... More

The house is only open to the public for a few weeks of the year as as it is so close to us, I wanted to have a look. Although I can appreciate the house & what it represents - there are some beautiful carvings and wall coverings & some lovely old paintings, I think that £10 each was quite... More

Hagley hall is one of the West Midlands fine historic houses. The grounds are delightful nice walks and the church is worth a visit, so much history. Wouldn't think you are only 20-30 mins from the hustle and bustle if city life.
