The caves themselves are cool but you are not allowed in without going on one of the guided tours (available on headsets in many languages). The tours are only at specific times, cost 9 euros and take 50 minutes. Plus you are constantly being reminded...More

Amazing caves with very interesting formations, presented with well situated lighting. My second visit and I enjoyed it just as much as the first 2 years before. Non-slip shoes are essential though and there are quite a lot of steps and slopes, wet in places,...More

Make sure you book in advance because sots are not always available as number of visitors to the caves is limited. I have been to other caves around Europe and this one is something special. The combination of deposits, caverns and underground water is amazing....More

Don’t attempt this if you have bad knees, are unsteady on your feet or if you are unfit. On arrival you are given a headset to correspond with your language. Soon you are inside the caves which are spectacular.to see. Underground caves, lakes and rivers....More

We found them by mistake. The town is beautiful, cute “white town” with all buildings white and yellow. The caverns were amazing and huge (for those that are claustrophobic there is no problem). We walked for an hour and it seemed like 20 minuets only....More

This is the reason people go to Aracena and lots of people visit these caves. Too many people visit them. The group sizes are too large for an enjoyable visit. They herd people through, ask you not to take pictures, take pictures of you and...More

A calcareous formation with great stalactites and stalagmites under the castle. To see the grotto we spend around 50 minutes. Several lakes and beautiful calcareous scultures.

If you're into caves and geologic monuments, you must visit Gruta de las Maravillas. It is magic and you're presented with awesome underground landscapes during the whole guided visit (which takes about 45 minutes). Unfortunately, photos are not allowed and the guide (at least the...More

Grotto is well worth a visit. Reasonably priced tourist attraction. Whole trip took just under an hour & is about 1.2km of walking underground. Only downside for us was that the guided tour was in Spanish only - no English translation available.

And it was, great walk through the caves and seemed to go on forever. GET THE AUDIO, if your Spanish is not up scratch. Good value and well worth a detour if your in the area.
