Quirky Religious Museum
Jan 2018 • Couples
All sorts of religious artifacts as expected vestements of many colors and designs, elaborate monstrances, and portraits galore of cardinals and bishops. An explanation is given of the “Golden Rationale” and Frederic II’s interest in it mathematically. Various paintings reflect this approach of proportion with English commentary. Rooftop view is a highlight.

Not to be missed

This was an unexpectedly enjoyable visit, I personally have little interest in religion, however the museum’s contents and how they were displayed was fascinating. There was even one small piece of pottery that would have looked great on my mantelpiece.
It is worth going to the roof where you get a great view over Gallipoli - and they were playing Queen over the terrace speakers which seemed quite appropriate.

a place to visit where you will never regret to spend 6 euro!!!! aside from the museum, you can have a cocktail drink at the rooftop with just additional payment for drinks(discounted if visited the museum)., well..., there is more to say! drinks that comes up with foods... and foods....and foods... tarallini, little portion of pasta fredda and riso... cheese, salameetc! fruits...! and dessert! what more! you will get a chance to reach the highest point of gallipoli where you can literally touch to cross! imagine having a good time knowing you are at the top of gallipoli with just a small amount of money. i will definitely recommend this place!!!!

Just religious art

This is a collection of Catholic art, items range from tacky to creepy.

The building is nice indeed and the view from the roof terrace is beautiful.

I have to contradict another reviewer and say: this museum is NOT about the history of Gallipoli or salento. It's just religious artifacts.
