Really a wonderful place to take in the views of Arona and Lake Maggiore as well as take in some history. No better place to sit on a beautiful day anywhere in Arona other than the possibly the "Speakeasy" enjoying one of their many specialty drinks!

We had walked to the Rocca from the Hotel San Carlo, and would have enjoyed our visit so much more if the heavens had not opened moments after we arrived! We managed to shelter for a while by having coffee in the Bar, and when the rain eased off we did walk around the grounds. So we could see that... More

Lovely spot to see all around Lake Maggiore. Cafe is a nice place to spend some quiet time away from Arona crowds.

Situated above the town, the fort and grounds provide a panoramic view of the lake and city. You can take a short walk up from very near public parking at the northern end of town, or you can drive up and park just outside the entrance which is level with the park itself.

I spent my childhood in this place and it's so close to my heart. Since it's been reopened I went back to enjoy the magnificent view on the city, the stunning ruins of what was once a castle. The service at the local cafe is great and people are friendly and happy. You can relax and absorb so much history... More

LOVE THIS PLACE! You can drive up to it or hike up the side of the hill. It's steep but fun. Kind of a walk in the past. The ruins left behind are a great piece of history to walk through. It also has the best panoramic view from the San Carlo stature, to the alps, castle across the lake... More

I have been up here a few times, and I must admit it's a really nice place. The views from the top are very impressive, a great place to go to get some nice pictures of Arona and Lake Maggiore from above. There is a nice little pub up there as well if you fancy a drink, they also have... More
