Stunning little church - a must see!

The church is beautiful inside and out. There's a cost to enter but it's completely worth it as it's quirky inside. Look for the bones!

All churches in Italy are amazing, but this one is like cherry on the top of a dessert. The first floor is in roman style, but the second which was bulilt lots of years later is gothic. If you have a chance to visit this church- don't miss it!

The views walking up to the church, the countryside around it are stunning. The church itself (lower and upper levels) is simple, almost bare, but possesses an almost overpowering (and moving) beauty. I chose to get married here...

This is a very unique church with two very different levels. Be sure to check out the grafitti from the 1600's (actually records kept by the monks). The views over the valley are spectacular from the grounds.

I may be a bit biased as this is the town my family came from, but this church and its history are quite impressive. Considering the current state of the frescos the church has a beauty very different from the many that we visited in Italy. The structure really shines. The stories about the various political struggles the church lived... More

So old, like the catacombs in Rome. Three periods of history in one. On the peak of the highest part of town.

Original 11th century church enlarged in the 14th century, it stands on the bluff on the remains of a castle. The pale coloured brick is a stark statement as it stands without modern building sto take from the effect. Beautiful 13/14th century frescoes. 2.50 euro entry. The custodian was very friendly and informative.

Offida, what a nice little corner of history! Good food and nice little shops. If you see no cars around, you may think you are in the past...
