Called in to get a map of Pezenas and some insights as to the main sights. Had to wait while staff finished their own conversation, map slowly revealed and just opened and placed in front of us. Asked about main restaurant areas, staff member indicated "I don't go to restaurants so I can't help you." Hmmm

Firstly - a map of Pezenas was NOT free. like the town maps in most of the places I have visited are. 2 euro is not much, but it grates to have to pay it. Secondly - the counter lady was quite uninterested in helping or suggesting things - again, unlike my experiences elsewhere.

Great office in a great town. The place itself is fascinating, the staff very helpful and the toilets a boon.

Having done our research on the Internet (so we knew the event was on!) we called soon after our arrival (on 18 June) to ask about the In Vino Pezenas event the following weekend. Our French usually gets us by in most situations but we had difficulty getting the assistant to understand us. When she did finally work out what... More

The Tourist office were helpful in providing us with maps of the town ( 2 euros each map). The maps themselves were extremely clear and easy to follow, offering a range of walks depending on interest eg Medieval v 17C and 18C. The toilets at the Tourist office were a welcome facility. Closing between 12 and 2pm was not helpful!

I loved the city of Pezenas. Small stores run by local artists. The narrow streets offer good shade in the hot summer days. We stayed for half a day and had lunch in one of the restaurants.

The film about the life of Moliere is set in 5 rooms in the tourist office. We had the English translation headsets which tie into the projected images. Its a rather unique form of presentation and was very informative and good way to spend 45minutes or so. We were the only participants so I'm not sure how it would be... More

The old streets, lovely quirky shops and delightful restaurants all contribute to a great experience in Pezenas. The Toursit Information provide an informative guide to walking around this lovely medieval walled town. Beware the horse chestnut tree in the square when the conditions are right for ripened cookers to crash all around, extremely funny!

Every street is a surprise, never seen so much ateliers of all kinds, jewel makers, potteries, painters, weavers, you name it! The city is an adventure on itself, we forgot to get a city map, lots of fun, walked some streets twice! No problem, more hungry and thirsty afterwards, so it paid off ;-) Don't skip Pézenas please !!!
