This is a majestic architecture and a wonderful scenery right in the middle of a hillside greenery.
We drove up to Madhuragama, where Akasa Rd and Nine Arch Rd meet, from there took a 3 wheel(tuk tuk) to reach the bridge as the Nine Arch Road is under construction and not in good shape to travel by a car.
You should time the visit to see a train passing by, you can look at the train schedules to figure out the times, but sometimes they don't come on time. One scheduled train didn't come on time, but we managed to catch the next one. So make sure you inform the tuk tuk guy you are going to stay there for a little while, otherwise they only wait for about an hour. Give your self some time to be there.

We went by a tuk tuk to the viewpoint near by the nine-arch bridge in the evening around 4.00, when beautiful blue train is passing the place. Sun set is about to be commenced. Amazing view from any angle to get pictures of the bridge. As this place was so nice next day morning around 9.00 again, we went there to see two trains travelling opposite direction in short time. Fabulous sceneries with nine-arch bridge1
Excellent experience anyone to enjoy.

One of my favorite place in Sri Lanka. Very beautiful and amazing sceneries . When traveling from ella town I asked a tuk tuk driver to drop me to this place, his price was high and I talked with local guy and he told me to get the bus. It was very easy and cheap.

We walked there from Ella using the first rather than the main entry into the forest (by Adam's Peak), so we were lucky to find it in the absence of signs. At the bridge there are very beautiful perspectives to enjoy, you can buy fruit and after the crisis there will surely be cafés again. We took a tuktuk back into Ella right from the bridge which is a fun ride along tea plantations. This means even mobility impaired travellers can reach there.

There are many entry points to the bridge but what it got to show is the same. It's pointless coming here to see only the bridge without a train passing by,so better to check the train schedule from ella or demodara railway station

Definitely something that was on my bucket last for the longest time! Climbed to a spot where you could have an almost aerial view of the train emerging from the tree covered area onto the tracks! Had goosebumps as was just so so stunning!

This is an amazing place in Sri Lanka which must see when touring. The bridge can see with train going by mountain view on the tunnel. Lot of memories you will be gained.

There are two routes that come from different parts of the same road to get there - one is 500m walking from Ella and the other is close to 98 acres.
We chosen the one close to 98 acres as we did the walk just after little andams peak.
Starts with an off road trail that leads on into the railway line. You then keep walking for less than 5minutes until you get to the bridge which is as impressive as you might have imagined.
There are stalls by the bridge with fruit and tuk tuks if needed.
We chosen to walk back via the other route which is more foresty.
Definitely a must go.

Worth every mile. The best time to visit this beautiful place is in the early morning. Fact: The most photographed place in all of Sri Lanka.
