Was nice to visit, would have been better if u could swim safely. Apparently 30+ deaths happened here. There are ALOT of people trying to sell u things and staring while u have a paddle. Much like most of sri lanka.

We got the bus from Ella down to Rawana Falls after a long walk in the morning. We were hoping to swim and relax for a while by the waterfall. It was extremely busy, with people crammed all over the place. The water also didn't...More

You can reach the falls by taking a bus from Ella center. The falls themselves are quite high and it is strong recommended not to climb the rocks as they are very slippery.

Water fall is lovely to see, there are street vendors galore that will try and sell you things, some are quite persistent. Be careful of the monkeys grabbing your things.

Great stop off point, nice to spend about 20 minutes there, lots of people trying to tout 'crystals' in exchange for foreign coins, so carry some english coins around if you like. Very slippery, wear trainers, there is no health & safety! It is all...More

We went on a Sunday afternoon the place was packed and uncomfortable we had time so returned Monday morning on route elsewhere, much better few people around - just a five min stop for a few pics and enjoy the view. Sad about the trash.
