The walk is popular among both tourists and locals. It's a steep 1.5 hour walk so be prepared. The view along the way is pretty much the best you'll see so if you're tight for time/tired, there's no need to get to the top. There...More

We went on a winters day. - the 45 minutes at start is a good workout and the views if it is a clear day as it was for us are very good . Loop walk takes 1.5 hours - well worth it

We love this track and keep going up there every time we have spare few hours. It's great work out with amazing view. It's also dog friendly which is super rare here in NZ

We went on a cloudy day, but I'm sure on a clear day you can see much more. There's some small signs at the top describing some of the history of the area and a post that names many of the mountains you can see.

I loved it. It's a nice 1-1:30 hour walk to do the whole loop. I had my 8 yr old son who wasn't that keen but the views at the top were worth a couple of complaints. Lots of off the leash dogs enjoying themselves...More

About half an hour to 45 minutes to the top with some great views across Wanaka and the lake. If you are not up to Mt Roy, this is an easier option.
