Filled with straw market activities on days the cruise ship are on. You can arrange island trips near the square. Use Cambio instead of banks to exchange money, lines move very slow in banks. After the bank fees, the rate is similar to other locations, so no need to wait in lines. Make sure you barter for prices of items... More

Lots of nice shops, mostly jewelry but a bit pricey .If you go through the guarded gates the shops are much cheaper. We met a local travel guide named Jeff on the other side and he took us all around the town, showed us the churches and the grade school. The local kids were so cute they sang their national... This beautiful port opened in March 2011. Carnival spent about $180 million and own the shops here. Great history in the numerous posted signs. Outside the gates you should go with a group of people - not by yourself.

Outside the Celebrity and Royal Caribbean cruise ship shopping area, through the gate were some vendor stalls where you can get great prices from the local ladies (Joyce's tables are located straight back and to the left side outside the gate and she gave a great deal on several pieces of jewelry; some of which her son and sister made)... This is the second port stop of our RC 7 night Western Caribbean Cruise that also includes Cozumel and Labadee. The port was sandwich by Allure of the Seas and Independence of the Seas cruise ships. They look like magnificent towering ships encasing the port. Because of the size of the ships it was a sight to behold. The area... More

Imagine a poet town slowly falling apart with people selling stuff and offering you various vices the minute you enter the square. Dirty and awkward and a little frightening.

Convenient place to shop right off cruise ship and staff friendly in the shops. Decent prices and some cool things to suit most people's needs. Had them engrave a Jimmy Buffett love bird painted wooden statue which was neat. You can negotiate in the open market.

We stopped here to shop on our way back to the Royal Caribbean cruiseship we were on for this trip. All the shops are right outside the port check in for the ships, so it is quick and easy, before our after your excursions. The shop keepers are friendly and helpful and not at all pushy or "sketchy" like we... More

A nice place to sit and relax and see Jamaicans and tourist mix. Plenty of hustle and bustle especially in the evening.Plenty of things to look at, and as tourism grows we hope that locals will also benefit too.
