This is my hang out spot when I visit Jamaica. Leroy's beach bar is here, and you can always get a cold Red Stripe and a delicious, inexpensive meal. The locals are welcoming and friendly. I met some good folks down here. There are shops and a few bars in this particular area that has good drinks and food. The shops have beautiful carvings and they can pretty much make you anything that you want! In the mornings, its neat to watch the fisherman come in with what they caught! When I was visiting last month they caught some lobster and squid and just gave them to us! One of my friends that I met there made a fire right in front of the beach and cooked it all over a fire. Was a great experience, my parents were there 18yrs ago and met this young Jamaican man who carved a beautiful sea 🐢 #huge out of wood and many more things for us this year. Omar Junior is a tremendous wood carver if you have the opportunity to go to fishermans villige/jacob taylor beach outside of silver sands he is a briallint artist. #getsomewood…

Someone needs to take a good look at this venue. It is rundown and not cared for. A complete waste to time to visit. I am not sure it should be offered as a national treasure as it only reflects the locals not taking control of their environment and not showing off their potential. It was embarrassing to visit. We didn't even leave the taxi. Please someone help them to revive this place.…
