Had a nice first time visit here .was expecting it to be a massive greenhouse type place however all the birds are in the fresh air ( do wonder if the burds manage to survive our 'lovely ' weather though .... ) However today the sun was out .the place itself isn"t bad value 29.00 and that was including two... We spent a lovely afternoon here with two small girls. They loved feeding the birds and getting up close to them and they were very entertained the whole afternoon. There are a couple of parts that are looking a little tired and could do with some upkeep, but on the whole we had a great day out and will definitely... More

This is a little gem in the Leicestershire countryside. Visited for the first time this afternoon and was not disappointed. A fascinating collection of rare and tropical birds which you can interact with and learn many interesting facts. It is quite small but if you are worried about it being boring or too child-oriented then don't. Give it a try.... More

Visited with my mum today in a wheel chair we are always looking for something to do that is accessible. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and as I was classed as a carer my entrance fee was only £3.00. Birds were stunning and the bird walk at the end a delight and real fun. Stayed for about two hours including drink and... More

This is the most beautiful place for anyone who loves wildlife and a must for every bird lover. Could not fault it. The birds look well cared for, I really enjoy handling some of them. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Nice food in the cafe. Fair entrance price. Much better than any large zoo. If I would live... More

What a pleasant surprise. A truly fantastic array of tropical birds on show and a few free flying walkthrough/in aviaries. All topped off by an area near the exit with numerous parrots, macaws and parakeets all out on perches happy to interact. The staff are all genuinely friendly, and very knowledgeable. The cafe is reasonably priced for this type of... More

Lovely time spent wandering around the caged birds and walk through the woods, until we came to the free flight birds. Brilliant. Parrots of all shape and sizes quite happy to sit on your shoulder, and if you purchased a bag of food on the way in, they are quite happy to be hand fed. My 2 year old grandson... More

Such a good day out. The birds sit on you and talk and take bird food off you! Nice play area and picnic area. Shame such a massive queue in the cafe to get a drink. Really enjoyed it, will go again

A lovely day out with the kids. The staff were lovely and informative. Birds looked healthy and happy. Reasonably priced although if you have a big family it could be a t bit expensive. Cafe was nice but a little expensive for me. Nice play area to sit and watch the kids and have a picnic.
