Authentic experience of true love story born directly in the house where you will visit museum. New owners of the house were able to build amazing experience from almost destroyed historical building. Whole experince of visit and ideas behind are really on world class level. When you pay attention to all details and ideas you will appreciate this place much more! I loved to discover that such a place was build in Slovakia and how much can be made from ine idea and true story. I recommend to learn more about region, city, walk around and then visit the museum, you will connect with genius loci.

Dear Tomas, Thank you very much for taking the time to rate your recent visit to our Love Bank, we are happy to see that you enjoyed your visit to the full.
The story of the poem Marína is unique to the world and close to our hearts - we are really pleased that there are people who believe in the same things as we do. This project took plenty of passion, sweat, determination, and persistence; and we are grateful that our visitors appreciate all the hard work which made the Love Bank possible.
If you are visiting our town again, we look forward to welcoming you back to the Love Bank. Zuzana From Love Bank.

It's in fact a bench on the main square in front of a building, in which Marína Pischlova lived around 1840. The longest love poem in the world is dedicated to her. The love poem is registered as a world record. The House of Marína or House of Slovakia's Romeo and Juliet is very popular for lovers. They put a padlock around the bench so you can see lots of colourful padlocks.

Looking at the house from the outside I wasn't really impressed by the whole project and the idea. But after seeing all attractions, the interior of the house and the love bank I was really surprised how beautifully it all has been put together. From the whole reconstruction of the house to the presentation of the love story it all made very nice and interesting experience. You will not find anything similar anywhere in Slovakia. I have also seen the famous house of Romeo and Juliette in Verona or the love museums in South Korea and I must say that the experience there was really poor. This one actually made a point and especially it was based on the true story. I was actually quite impressed how well it was all done. You can feel the inspiration from other exhibitions like Harry Potter studios or the book and mirror installation in Bratislava, but it doesn't matter at all, because after all you'll be glad that you paid the money for something unique and exceptional.

It's a place for a love story . It's ok but if you wanna but your name there you need to donate fee for renovation. A 125 € or more depending on the mesmerizing method you want to write your name and your love name. But a good afternoon program. Need to reserve before you go because it's time fixed visit view.

This unique, beautiful place will make you realise about the power of love.
Such a beautiful story and its great that this non-profit organisation decided to save this house for the future generations.
Yes, 12 Eur might be a little "higher", but its worth of every cent!
Plus, you are helping a good thing. Same people, who complain that its expensive, then go down and sit in restaurant and spend 40 Eur for lunch!
I will recommend to all my friends, family and visitors. Go there, immerse in love, be happy and enjoy your visit.
Our host was Peter - a very nice guy, who made the whole experience special.

We entered the 'love bank' expecting it to be cheesy and overpriced but I actually really enjoyed it. It's mainly for Slovakian tourists but they provide headphones with an English translation for foreigners which was quite well executed. After you visit the love bank itself though, the audioguide stops and the guide has to translate the rest of the tour to us (after the Slovakian explanation). This was fine but I imagine they will soon have the rest of the tour on audioguide.
It's actually quite a new exhibition that only opened in December 2017 so they're still renovating other parts of the house to open up more areas.
It's quite a short tour but very modern and brings the old love story to life. It's also interactive so keeps you interested. If you're planning on putting a loved keepsake in a box, bring it with you and be prepared to fork out €125. Otherwise enjoy how sweet the story is and take photos in the love bank. Tips: wear pants (the floor in the bank is made of mirrors so it's awkward to wear a skirt), tour might be a bit depressing if you've just broken up with someone, strollers can't be taken in but you can leave them at the front desk.

Dear Stella, thank you very much for your review and we are happy that you enjoyed it. We will soon have the rest of the tour on audioguide. The price for a box, where people can put a loved keepsake depends od the duration. People can have their own box for 1 day for 25 eur, for 1 year for 50 eur or even for eternity for 100 eur. Those wearing short skirts can use our long skirts in order to avoid awkward moments in the love bank that is made of mirrors. Our love bank is for everybody, because everybody loves somebody.

I have always had this place on my list to visit it. I finally visited it and it was so worth it! I love everything about it. They even provide English tours for non Slovak speakers.
It was a beautiful little tour and I got to learn a lot about Andrej Sladkovič and his poem dedicated to Marina.
I am very satisfied.
Banska Štavnica is one of the most beautiful towns in Slovakia and the love Bank just adds to its beauty.

I visited the Epicentrum of Love - as one of newly opened attractions in Banská Štiavnica - together with my husband and teenage son over our Christmas break.
With its striking attention to detail - that went from the reception throughout the whole tour - this visit offers the fascinating story behind the world’s longest love poem “Marína”. The interactive exhibition is full of clever visual “twists” and surprises; and the final part - the Love Bank with 100,000 Love Boxes - is simply breath-taking! Well done to our friendly and professional guide who delivered the commentary also in English.
What I like about the Epicentrum of Love is the fact that it is based on a real love story, and for me this ‘authenticity aspect’ makes it quite special. I was rather intrigued by the idea to contribute our own “love story” to the Epicentrum of Love, thus helping to make it the place with the greatest concentration of love in the world. As my husband and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary, I thought it could be a really unique present for such an occasion.
