Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This pub came highly recommended during our stay at the Durrow Castle. The lovely atmosphere, pints of beer, and the friendly staff exceeded our expectations. Bob himself was there that evening and was the most friendly, welcoming person! We are so thankful that he took the time to talk to us and make us feel like a local!

Awesome location, fantastic staff and an amazing atmosphere. The locals are very hospitable and everyone is made to feel at home. We were only there for 3 nights but it was like being in your local.

Bob's Bar is a 'must' stop-off if you're visiting Durrow, gathering either in the old-fashioned bar, one of it's unique 'snugs', or in good weather the river-side adjoining garden. And once you've had your refreshing pint, why not pop upstairs and check out the old bicycles in the Durrow High Nelly museum.

I ended up in Bobs Bar the day after a wedding in Durrow. What a gem of a pub it is. Great staff, fantastic location and on a hot summers day, a beautiful beer garden by the river Erkina.

Plenty of nooks and crannies to explore in the pub with some great photos, press cuttings and other memorabilia all through the pub.

Really enjoyed my day there!

Since relocating from North London to Durrow, Bob's Bar has become my local. And although not a regular visitor to pubs, I have to admit visits to the bar are always a pleasant experience. Its compact interior hides a free museum of assorted vintage bicycles / bric-a-brac; and the 'snug' houses 1st world war memorabilia to Bob's granduncle (Jack Moyney), who was awarded the VC.
The bar is in a picturesque part of 'town' adjacent to the river Erkina. Staff are always warm and welcoming. For any visitor, It's a charming place to stop.

Nice old style pub. Clean and well decorated. Friendly staff and Clientele. Worth a visit for a good pint and a bit of crack if your staying locally.

We stumbled upon this pub on our way from Dublin to Killarney. Met Robbie who is in a band name Kilkenny and his family - they were the warmest people. I just wished we could have stayed longer.

Had a great evening with Marian, Bobby & a small group of locals. Old bike museum is a must see. Will pop back this year for the "High Nelly Weekend" in the summer.

Bob's bar is a must for any visitor to Durrow. Besides being a purveyor of excellent beer there are a variety of interesting attractions to take your interest. There is a cycle museum, an exhibition in memory of a local soldier (Bob's great uncle) who had the distinction of being awarded the VC for bravery in action. There are many other interesting artifacts to take your interest as well as many musical evenings. Discussions on all topics, usually sport, often take place around the bar and as a visitor from England I have always felt welcome to join in. Very popular and hospitable bar for both men and women to enjoy.
