I guess going here on a Sunday afternoon was a bad idea. Way too packed with loud children hitting the fences with sticks and yelling. Also made possible by the fact that this place is accessible by car. A place for lazy visitors.
The view is beautiful and super cheap outing, we paid about $1.00 for four people (entry fee and parking). It also, has a small restaurant.
The drive is really steep and it’s mostly on a dirt road, I wouldn’t recommend it if it’s been raining.

we negotiated a taxi to take us up and wait 10 mins for 200 cordobas.

It's a hard hike up there, but it's totally worth it. You see the town and the surrounding mountains. You can go through the catholic church's property where you can see some crosses (easy 30 minute walk) or you can go through the natural reserve...More
