The family decided to go to Kasabangan as recommended by our relatives and we went there in March 2016. It was a 20 minute hike from the highway. The sun's scorching heat was unforgiving, but the hike was enjoyable because I was with my family and relatives and we were making fun of each other. The view along the way... More

The area along the valley and around the falls has been over developed spoiling the natural beautiful that tourists really wanted to see. This has now been neglected badly making the walkway to the falls very dangerous, but they still expect you to pay an entrance fee as if it paying for something? Maintenance?

You have to walk on monkey rails along a creek to reach the Kasabangan Falls in Cabucgayan. The entrance fee is Php10.00 for adults and Php5.00 for children. Its cold water is refreshing and relaxing. The falls is 20 meters high hidden in dense undergrowth. There are 13 layers of this waterfall from its highest level up in the mountain... More

In its pristine shape it would be nice. But lots of concrete makes it a "made" look a like. The long boardwalk (monkey trail) is nice but lack on maintenance.

Kasabangan Falls or sometimes known as Sampao Falls merits a 4 Star for its beauty. Getting There: From Naval Central Market, hire a Habal-Habal (or motorbike transport) that will take you to Sampao village up in the mountains. The drive will take probably 45 minutes. Once at the jump-off, where concrete road ends, you start trekking. For experienced trekkers, it... More
